Epidural Steroid Injection (ESI)

Epidural Steroid Injection (ESI) is the corticosteroid injection into the epidural space of the cervical and lumbar spine.

You will be monitored in the recovery room for 45 minutes where your vital signs will be assessed and you will be observed for any side effects. You can then return home but must be accompanied by someone. You should not drive after the procedure.
