Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced (minimum 2 years) Visa Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of visa processing for international patients seeking medical treatment in Thailand. This role demands attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and experience navigating embassy requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Process visas for clients: prepare, review, and submit visa applications, ensuring all documentation is complete and compliant with Thai immigration laws and relevant embassies.
- Liaise with embassies, consulates, and relevant government agencies to clarify visa rules and resolve issues.
- Guide clients through visa requirements—advise on timelines, fees, required documents, medical credentials, and any special or supplementary paperwork.
- Monitor visa application status, track deadlines, follow up as needed, and maintain accurate records.
- Handle problematic or rejected applications: troubleshoot, advise clients of next steps, and resubmit documents when necessary.
- Multitasking and coordinating with other departments at ThaiMedics—medical, travel, and accommodation—to ensure all visa-related logistics align with patient treatment schedules.
- Update and maintain internal knowledge base about visa regulations, rules, and changes across different countries.
- Provide excellent customer service: clear communication, responsiveness, empathy, and professionalism.
Requirements for this role:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in visa processing or in a visa officer role, preferably dealing with medical visas or healthcare travel.
- Strong understanding of visa/immigration rules & regulations for Thailand and relevant partner countries.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Good organizational skills, ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously, track deadlines, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and resolve issues efficiently.
- Must be able to follow instructions carefully and complete tasks assigned by senior management efficiently.
- Professional demeanor, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to deal with clients and government entities tactfully.
